October 2006 – February 2008: Solution Architect (Consultant)

At DEST Steven project managed two simultaneous Applications Development Projects:

• Encouraged the adoption of a Customer focus approach to Business Solutions within the Agency.
• Managed jointly with the Business Area the redevelopment of both the Procurement and Risk Management Framework and associated ICT Systems.
• Produced written and verbal communication for the Senior Executives and staff, often on complex Procurement and Risk Management matters using language appropriate for the target audience.
• Facilitated from within the Procurement Group, an organisational-wide Business Change.
• Providing leadership within the Agency on Project Management incorporating the principles of PRINCE2 and the Australian Risk Management Standard AS/NZS 4300.
• Overseen the improvement of Service Delivery and Reliability by the Department’s internal ICT Service Provider from a client perspective.
• Managed the implementation of changes to the FMA Act and CPGs in a large government agency.
• Providing operational direction to a highly efficient and diverse team of 5 staff.
